Superconductivity: lifting the gossamer veil
Article Abstract:
One of the outstanding mysteries in condensed matter physics is that the most perfect conductors discovered such as the high temperature super conductors are more like insulators than metals. Copper oxides superconductor under certain conditions transform from its insulating state into an extremely delicate state of gossamer superconductivity.

Shine a light
Article Abstract:
Optical spectroscopy, through the scattering of light by a material, has always remained as an important tool throughout the history of superconductivity. The interactions of copper oxides in high-temperature superconductivity are discussed.

Symmetry not required
Article Abstract:
Symmetry is the description of natural phenomena and can be either of inversion symmetry or mirror symmetry. Superconductivity is a complex phenomenon but a magnetic material whose structure is not mirror symmetric yet superconducts.
