T-cell help for cytotoxic T lymphocytes is mediated bu CD40-CD40L interactions
Article Abstract:
CD4plus T-helper lymphocytes are normally needed to CD8 plus cytotoxic T Lymphocyes to be primed in vivo, though the type of help provided is unclear. Signalling through CD40 is a way of replacing CD4 plus T-helper cells, and if CD40L is blockaded, then CTL priming is inhibited. The inhibition ceases if signalling through CD40 occurs. The way that T-cell help is delivered for CTL priming is linked to CD40-CD40L interactions.

Article Abstract:
A troubled relationship exists between the immune system and tumors. The immune system is initially involved in developing tumor and later on, tumors sometimes lull immune cells into a false sense of security, which in turn prevents them to be killed by immune system.
