Origin of avian genome size and structure in non-avian dinosaurs
Article Abstract:
Bayesian comparative method was used to reveal the origin of small genome size in birds. Results show that small genomes found in birds, which help in avian flight, evolved from saurischian dinosaur lineage around 250 million years ago.
