The cytohesin steppke is essential for insulin signalling in Drosophila
Article Abstract:
A new component of insulin signalling in Drosophila, the steppke gene (step), is identified, which encodes a member of the cytohesin family of guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs). The results have revealed a crucial role of an ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF)-GEF in insulin signalling that helps in understanding insulin-related disorders, such as diabetes and obesity.

Growth-regulated recruitment of the essential yeast ribosomal protein gene activator Ifh1
Article Abstract:
Regulation of ribosome biogenesis is central to the control of cell growth. It is showed that the essential protein Ifh1 binds and activates many ribosomal protein (RP) gene promoters under optimal growth conditions in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
