Universities unnerved by revised rules for sharing NIH research
Article Abstract:
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) plans to change their rules from 1 October 2004, where in the applicants must give details on the method through which they plan to share their data, but university representatives fear that due to the new rule a lot confusion will be created that may result in delays. Under NIH's new rules, the applicants will be able to apply for the expense incurred due the substantial costs involved in sharing and depositing the model organisms in public depositories.
