The evolution of comets in the Oort cloud and Kuiper belt
Article Abstract:
The evolution of comets in the Oort cloud and Kuiper belt and a variety of subtle evolutionary mechanism operated on comets, are discussed. Strong circumstantial evidence based on the ease with which comets split and fragment, points to the inherent mechanical weakness of cometary nuclei.

The formation of Kuiper-belt binaries through exchange reactions
Article Abstract:
Two models are proposed to explain the unique characteristics of the TNOs (Trans-Neptunian Objects) that inhabit the Kuiper belt. A mechanism that is capable of producing binary TNOs with the observed properties during the early stages of their formation and growth is reported.

Rapid collisional evolution of comets during the formation of the Oort cloud
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the formation of the Oort cloud of comets through icy planetesimal ejections during the formation of the planets Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter and Neptune. Dynamical simulations are discussed.
