The motivation of group-housed laboratory mice, Mus musculus, for additional space
Article Abstract:
A method is developed in which the motivation of mice for resources could be assessed, while the mice are housed in groups. The results suggest that group-housed laboratory mice in standard laboratory cages are highly motivated for additional space.

Article Abstract:
A novel transponder system is used to identify remotely the members of a common tern colony, including non-breeders during eight breeding seasons. Factors, which delay the arrival of prospecting common terns, Sterna hirundo, are studied.

Acquisition of polarized-light orientation in salmonids under laboratory conditions
Article Abstract:
Orientation responses of juvenile salmonids to a polarized-light stimulus under laboratory conditions are studied. Differences are noted in the responses of trained and untrained fish.
