The orbital evolution of the asteroid Eros and implications for collision with the Earth
Article Abstract:
Asteroid 433 Eros has a 50% probability of becoming an Earth orbit crosser and may collide with the Earth on a timescale of 100 mission to 1 billion years. The asteroid has a diameter of about 22 km and is the second largest asteroid near the Earth. Numerical simulations indicate that three of the eight trial orbits that match the orbits of Eros will become Earth-crossing, and one of these is likely to hit the Earth after 1.14 Myr. However, there is no chance of Eros impacting on Earth in the next 100,000 years.

Risk of collisions for constellation satellites
Article Abstract:
The dynamical architecture of satellite constellations renders them especially vulnerable to the consequences of an impact with debris. Such an impact could prompt a form of chain reaction, sparking off further collisions. Debris from collisions with objects larger than between 10cm and 20cm across orbiting the Earth could irreversibly pollute parts of near-Earth space. After an initial break-up, the probability of a second one following within five years is around 10%.

Efficient delivery of meteorites to the Earth from a wide range of asteroid parent bodies

Research is presented concerning the development of a model for the transport of meteorite materials to Earth which involves the collisional evolution of fragments and the Yarkovsky effect.
