The professional in endangered species conservation: an introduction to standpoint clarification
Article Abstract:
Professionals who undertake endangered species conservation must be aware that they can assume a number of different standpoints as they seek to constantly improve their performance. Being aware of their own behaviour and role in endangered species recovery needs knowledge about the biological issues and the organizational climate. It also requires self-knowledge. They must clarify their own standpoint before they are able to improve their understanding of the human social process involved in endangered species conservation.

Endangered species conservation in Australia: a partial review and recommendations
Article Abstract:
The Australian Nature Conservation Agency has proposed and implemented four plans for conservation of 193 nearly extinct species of fauna in Australia. State agencies have also initiated such programs for the conservation of the endangered vertebrates. Necessary actions taken by the concerned agencies in trying to rectify the problems have been planned as well as steps needed for conserving the populations of the striped legless lizard, the freckled duck, the helmeted honeyeater, and eastern barred bandicoot.
