The qubit and the cavity
Article Abstract:
A demonstration regarding the coherent coupling of superconducting qubits and electromagnetic modes analogues to atom-photon coupling is presented. The interaction between photons and atoms is stronger if photons and atoms are trapped together inside an optical cavity.

Linear and nonlinear optical spectroscopy of a strongly coupled microdisk-quantum dot system
Article Abstract:
Direct optical spectroscopy of a system consisting of a quantum dot implanted in a microdisk is reported. A saturation of the cavity-quantum dot response is observed for less than one intracavity photon.
