The response of prey to the risk of predation: proximate cues for refuging juvenile fish
Article Abstract:
The anti-predator response of the juvenile perch Perca fluviatilis and roach Rutilus rutilus against two predators, piscivorous perch and pike, Esox lucius was examined. Two different habitats were used: predators were confined one of the two habitats, while prey were free to choose between the two. Data suggests that differences in prey assessment and reaction to the risk of predation in relation to life histories are significant factors to consider when creating rules for prey anti-predator behavior.

Individual repeatability and geographical variation in the larval behaviour of the generalist predator, Chrysopa quadripunctata
Article Abstract:
The study of three populations of larvae of Chrysopa quadripunctata, a generalist predator, show individual repeatability and geographical variation. Identically reared larval population show differences in the feeding and defense strategies. There is geographical variation in Larval response to camouflaging material, evidence of the behavioural plasticity of the larvae.
