The signature of chaos
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the quantum mechanical resistance of circular and oblong devices reveals the characteristic features of classical chaos in quantum physics. The weak localization effect, an important feature of quantum conductance, is the basic cause for the quantum mechanical resistance. The resistance reveals the scattering properties of the electron, which is influenced by the chaotic behavior of solid state devices.

Have quantum scars been observed?
Article Abstract:
The belief that Wilkinson et al's observations of quantam scarring in a real chaotic system has been observed is unfounded. Their considerations were based on a far-from semi-classical regime where current quantum scarring theories are invalid. The issue of quantum state scarring remains unresolved.
