The stability of forest biodiversity
Article Abstract:
The neutral theory of biodiversity and biogeography helps in understanding the influence of speciation, extinction, dispersal and ecological drift on patterns of relative species area relationships and phylogeny. The neutral drift is inconsistent with the palaeorecord of stability in fossil pollen assemblages of the Holocene forests of Southern Canada.

Neutral theory and relative species abundance in ecology
Article Abstract:
The neutral theory examines the expected steady-state distribution of relative species abundance (RSA) in the local community under restricted immigration. This neutral theory influences the extinction, dispersal and ecological drift on the relative species abundance.
