Trace-element fractionation in Hadean mantle generated by melt segregation from a magma ocean
Article Abstract:
Early Archaean rocks from West Greenland are characterized by (super 142)Nd/(super 144)Nd ratios more radiogenic than those expected for the bulk silicate Earth (BSE). Mineral-melt portioning data for high pressure mantle minerals are used to demonstrate that the observed Nd and Hf signatures could be produced by segregation of melt from a crystallizing magma ocean at upper-mantle pressures early in Earth's history.

The 'zero charge' partitioning behaviour of noble gases during mantle melting
Article Abstract:
The authors have investigated noble-gase geochemistry. They report that the noble gases are more incompatible than has been previously demonstrated.
