Stationary pulses of light in an atomic medium
Article Abstract:
A technique in which light propagating in a medium of Rb atoms converted into an excitation with localized, stationary electromagnetic energy, which can be held and released after a controllable interval is experimentally demonstrated. The method used creates pulses of light with stationary envelopes bound to an atomic spin coherence, offering new possibilities for photon state manipulation and nonlinear processes at low light levels.

Polarization of the prompt gamma-ray emission from the gamma-ray burst of 6 December 2002
Article Abstract:
Research shows that the afterglows of gamma-ray burst of 6 December 2002 lie at cosmological distances and they release an enormous amount of energy. Results reveal linear polarization in the prompt gamma-ray emission suggesting that it is synchrotron emission from electrons in a magnetic field.

Interference in the matter
Article Abstract:
The analysis studies the nature of the electron waves that can easily interfere with each other within a matter. The results show that such interference can also be observed for the sources that are incoherent and completely out of phase.
