Trapping policies defy reforms
Article Abstract:
The federal government has remained irresponsible in implementing laws against the use of brutal trapping devices, such as the steel-jaw leg trap. Creation of the Best Management Practices would not yield substantial reforms, aside from a few recommendations.

The fight to reform trapping in Arizona
Article Abstract:
A ban on animal trapping in Arizona would have been in place by 1993 if not for the underhanded tactics of the Wildlife Legislative Fund of America and the National Rifle Assn. Other factors that led to the proposition's defeat are presented and discussed.

National wildlife refuges: sanctuaries or killing fields?
Article Abstract:
Commercial and recreational animal trapping has claimed nontarget victims such as domestic animals, endangered species and even humans. Thus, animal advocates are calling for the prohibition on the use of body-gripping traps at all wildlife refuges.
