Holologues of Twisted gastrulation are extracellular cofactors in antagonism of BMP signalling
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the influence of Twisted gastrulation (TSG) in determination of the fate of the dorsal-most cells in Drosophila embryos. The influence of TSG in chicks, humans, mice, fish and amphibians is discussed.

The evolutionary conserved BMP-binding protein Twisted gastrulation promotes BMP signalling
Article Abstract:
A new study of vertebrate and Drosophila embryos shows that a Xenopus Twisted gastrulation homologue shares similarities of sequencing with the cysteine-rich domains of Chrodin and belongs to the BMP synexpression group.
