U.S. proves a wet blanket at international climate meeting

Representatives of 200 countries came together in Argentina from 6th to 17th December 2004 to discuss present and future climate-change negotiations and ended by making only modest steps towards cutting future greenhouse-gas emission. The delegates from many nations said that the United States and its allies ruined the progress at the tenth meeting of the Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Article Abstract:
The 110th Congress convened in Washington DC on 4 January 2007 faces a new challenge to figure out ways for solving issues related with climate change as part of their agenda. This debate in the Senate should increase the media and public focus on what is really at stake in regulating greenhouse gases.

Developing nations offer hope in climate talks
Article Abstract:
The Climate-change conference held in Montreal, Canada led to an agreement signed by the developing nations called Kyoto Treaty is presented. The agreement aims at development of cleaner and more efficient energy systems in some of the world's developing countries.
