Universal quantum computation with the exchange interaction
Article Abstract:
Research is presented on an explicit scheme using the Heisenberg interaction alone to implement any quantum computer circuit. The cost of this capability is a factor of three in additional qubits, and a factor of approximately ten in any other two-qubit operations.

Protecting the quantum world
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the process of decoherence which occurs through the interaction of quantum systems. The instability of quantum states against decoherence and its manipulation are discussed.
