Victor Arthur Rice, 1890-1964: a brief biography
Article Abstract:
Victor Arthur Rice was a distinguished professor of animal breeding who taught his students with wit and vigor. Born on May 4, 1890, Rice enrolled at the North Carolina State College in 1912 and graduated with honors in 1916. He distinguished himself by improving productivity of farms and garden plots. The other area in which he made an impact was in animal breeding. Rice was awarded the American Society of Animal Production Teaching Award in 1961, making him the third recipient of the award. He died on Jun 25, 1964 at the age of 74.

Sleeter Bull, 1887-1968: a brief biography
Article Abstract:
Former Animal Nutrition professor Sleeter Bull has spent most of his life studying and teaching about animals. Sleeter specialized in various types of animal meat and was considered one of the best the field. A well-liked faculty member at the University of Illinois, co-teachers claim that Sleeter is easy to get along with and always had an answer to any question regarding his specialization.
