Visualization of fast energy flow and solvent caging in unimolecular dynamics
Article Abstract:
A new technique to analyze the energy flow in liquid-phase dynamics is described. Some of the energy in the transition is transferred from the reaction coordinate to other internal degrees of the solute. The rate at which the remaining energy is transferred to the solvent is a function of the reaction of coordinate phase space point and its time derivative as well as other velocities characterizing a trajectory of the system.

Four-helical-bundle structure of the cytoplasmic domain of a serine chemotaxis receptor
Article Abstract:
The transmembrane bacterial chemotaxis receptors has a simple signalling pathway. Chemotaxis receptors are dimeric and signalling does not depend on monomer-dimer equilibrium. The crystal structure of the cytoplasmic domain of a serine chemotaxis receptor of Eschericia coli reveals a 200 A-long coiled-coil of two domains, which form a long, supercoiled, four-helical bundle in the cytoplasmic part of the receptor.
