What future for research in Europe?
Article Abstract:
History of scientific research in Europe dates back to almost 400 years and significant contributions have been made by great scientists such as Nicolaus Copernicus and Michael Faraday. A conference held in Paris, France, asserts that there is a compelling need to improve the standards of national research institutions. Funds for research have been raised in France and Spain. Money spent by the European Union on research is less than spent by Japan and North America. Some resolutions and problems discussed in the meeting are given.
