Wit and wisdom
Article Abstract:
The accomplishments of Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, a physicist with many skills, from pioneering xerographer to innovative teacher, would be remembered most for his acerbic aphorisms, and his unusual pedagogy and his wit, the two things that rarely occur together. Lichtenberg had left his name in the rambling structure of physical science, gave lectures on experimental physics, and was a man of great charm, despite a hunched back and fragile health.

A clash of two cultures
Article Abstract:
The cultural clashes between physicists and biologists are discussed along with their perspectives on the philosophy of science. Biologists have recognized their need for new tools and it is the physicists turn to focus on biology demand, as they are crucial to the formulating of productive research strategies in systems biology.
