Yip3 catalyses the dissociation of endosomal Rab-GDI complexes
Article Abstract:
Study reveals that the integral membrane protein, Yip3, acts catalytically to disassociate complexes of endosomal Rabs bound to guanine nucleotide disassociation inhibitor (GDI) and to deliver them onto membranes. It is proposed that the conserved Yip proteins serve as GDI-displacement factors for targeting of Rab GTPases in eukaryotic cells.

Molecular structure of deoxypentose nucleic acids
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to describe some of the experimental evidence for the polynucleotide chain configuration being helical, and existing in this form when in the natural state. The diffraction pattern of system of helices corresponding to structure of deoxypentose nucleic acid is examined.

A universal trend of amino acid gain and loss in protein evolution
Article Abstract:
Amino acid composition of proteins varies substantially between taxa and, thus, can evolve. The amino acids are currently accrued or lost in human proteins, as shown by analysis of non-synonymous single-nucleotide polymorphisms.
