The danger of airbags gets more obvious every day
Article Abstract:
When air bags were first introduced in 1977 it was said that they would reduce the risk of fatality by 40%, but it now appears as if those estimates were wildly optimistic. There is also evidence that air bags may actually increase risk for some people, especially small children.

Automobile insurers claim a loss in earnings and an increase in driving fatalities. However such fatalities are declining and according to a General Accounting Office fact sheet, the insurers are earning big profit.
