After the crash of the technology markets in late 2000/early 2001, there was a change in economic climate, but business challenges remain the same. These challenges will be discussed at the "E-Challenge"-themed CPA Australia 7th Asia Regional Conference being held on 17 August, 2001 in Singapore.

Singapore seeks a soft landing
Article Abstract:
After it's 2000 10% economic growth rate, Singapore is anticipating an economic decline for 2001. Economists believe that the growth rate of the country's economy will drop to between 5 and 7%, but depends significantly on a growth rate of between 2.5 and 3% in the US economy.
