A molecular phylogeny of the dove genus Zenaida: mitochondrial and nuclear DNA sequences
Article Abstract:
Research developing a phylogeny of seven species of the Zenaida dove is presented. Particular attention is given to the use of the method of mitochondrial analysis and to research into their DNA sequences. Genetic differences between species are established.

Marine bird attraction to thermal fronts in the California Current system
Article Abstract:
Research concerning the importance of the California Current system to marine bird populations is presented. The correlation between population and warm fronts suggests that marine birds are able to detect areas of upwelling.
