A role for the L-selectin adhesion system in mediating cytotrophoblast emigration from the placenta
Article Abstract:
The interaction between cytotrophoblasts and L-selectin to form a system to support the placenta during early pregnancy in mammals is studied. Cytotrophoblasts are stem cells in the chorionic villous and L-selectin is an adhesion molecule.
