Adding a third dimension to the edge of a species' range: altitude and genetic structuring in mountainous landscapes
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the different patterns and the significance of employing the altitude gradients and genetic structuring while characterizing the mountainous landscapes. The variations observed in the gene flow and drift due to elevation are found to be the main factor affecting the distribution of genetic variation at different altitudes.
