Benthic and pelagic viral decay experiments: A model-based analysis and its applicability
Article Abstract:
A mathematical model for the quantification of viral decay proposed that leads to the best curve fitting on the data set and provides a realistic description of viral decay occurring in aquatic systems is discussed. This method allows a direct estimation of the impact of viruses on bacterial production.

Determination of the shear force at the balance between bacterial attachment and detachment in weak-adherence systems, using a flow displacement chamber
Article Abstract:
A procedure is described for determining shear forces at the balance between attachment and detachment of bacteria under flow. This procedure is applied for deriving adhesion forces in weak-adherence systems, such as polymer brush coatings.
