Viral suppression of RNA silencing: 2b wins the Golden Fleece by defeating Argonaute
Article Abstract:
An RNA silencing process might involve Argonaute (AGO) proteins that are known components of plant and animal RNA-induced silencing complexes (RISCs). The 2b suppressor of Cucumber mosaic virus directly interacts with Arabidopsis AGO1 and inhibits its slicing activity, indicating that AGO1 might be a component of the elusive plant antiviral RISC.

'Mir'acles in hox gene regulation
Article Abstract:
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) control many cellular processes that are involved in regulating hox genes was investigated. It revealed a new complexity and finesse to the regulation of hox gene expression pattern that is needed for determining the anteroposterior body axis in all bilaterians.
