Coding repeats and evolutionary "agility"
Article Abstract:
Studies were conducted to show that expansions and contractions of the coding tandem repeats in the morphological developmental genes, are associated with the great diversity of morphologies observed in the domestic dog. Findings reveal that the repeat variations in two genes were significantly associated with changes in limb and skull morphology, thus opening the possibility that such a mechanism contributes to the diversity of life.

The role of class I HLH genes in neural development--have they been overlooked?
Article Abstract:
Research findings suggest that besides their role in general dimerisation of proteins of other classes of helix-loop-helix (HLH), class I HLH proteins participate in specific early neural differentiation and regulation of neurogenesis. Results indicate that class I HLH signaling is independent of heterodimerisation to other HLH proteins and regulate cell cycling and cell adhesion.

Hox genes and crustacean body plan
Article Abstract:
This review discusses relationship between the composition and expression of the Hox genes and morphological differentiation in the crustacean species as shown by morphological changes from the ancestral body plan that are linked to adaptation. Research findings suggest that a well-defined morphological change cannot be correlated wih a any single genetic change.
