Comparative gene mapping in the domestic cat (Felis catus)
Article Abstract:
Results of comparative gene mapping in the domestic cat (Felis catus) are presented, showing the assignation of 35 genes to chromosomes and using a panel of 41 rodent X cat somatic cell hybrids. The results show the widespread syntenic conservation between the feline and human genomes and add 105 assigned loci to the feline syntenic map.

Parentage and relatedness in polyandrous comb-crested jacanas using ISSRs
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on parentage and relatedness in natural vertebrate population. The authors describe the use of intersimple sequence repeat markers in examining parentage and relatedness in Australian population of sex-role reversed polyandrous shorebirds, and discuss the results.
