Evidence for two domains of growth temperature for the psychotrophic bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens MF0
Article Abstract:
The cold domain (0 to 17 degree celsius) and the suboptimal domain of growth temperature (17 to 30 degree celsius) have variant effects on growth and cellular protein production in psychotropic Pseudomonas fluorescens MF0. The specific growth rate decreases with the increase in the temperature beyond the optimal growth temperature of 30 degree celsius. The RNA and cellular protein levels are maximum, and the average cell size is minimum at 8 degree celsius. Increase in the growth rate leads to a decrease in protein level and increase in RNA level at 28 degree celsius.

Production of pectate lyases and cellulases by Chryseomonas luteola strain MFCL0 depends on the growth temperature and the nature of the culture medium: evidence for two critical temperatures
Article Abstract:
Maximum amounts of pectate lyase I and III are produced at the same temperature that leads to maximum growth of Chryseomonas luteola. This organism can cause food to spoil even at low temperatures and pectinolytic and cellulolytic enzymes are chiefly responsible for macerating plant tissue.

Gliding arc discharge in the potato pathogen Erwinia carotovora subsp. atroseptica: mechanism of lethal action and effect on membrane-associated molecules
Article Abstract:
The result from testing a novel glidarc prototype on the phytopathogen Erwinia carotovora subsp. atroseptica is presented. It reveals that in addition to effectively destroying bacteria, glidarc discharge could also be used to improve the extraction of bacterial molecules.
