From TCR engagement to T cell activation: a kinetic view of T cell behavior
Article Abstract:
T cell antigen recognition features three crucial properties, namely, sensitivity, specificity and context discrimination. The mechanism behind T cell receptor (TCR) triggering continues to remain unresolved despite an increasingly detailed understanding of the biochemical events that follow it. Research indicates that TCR triggering is dependent on the kinetics of TCR-ligand interaction and T cell stimulation, which are discussed.

Atherosclerosis: the road ahead
Article Abstract:
The authors review publications on atherosclerosis, a form of chronic inflammation caused by the interactions between modified lipoproteins, monocyte derived macrophages, T cells and normal arterial wall cellular elements. The studies of molecular mechanisms underlying the atherosclerosis pathogenesis have been examined and summarized.

Regulation of T cell immunity by dendritic cells
Article Abstract:
The authors review publications on the immune responses initiated in the T cell areas of the secondary lymphoid organs. The ability of the dendritic cells to provide quantitative and qualitative framework for the recognition of the T cell antigen has been investigated and discussed.
