Generation of pluripotent stem cells from neonatal mouse testis
Article Abstract:
Germline cells that can form different embryonic stem (ES) as well as embryonic germ (EG) cells are obtained only from embryonic tissues, hence tests were conducted to obtain such cells from other sources. Researchers conducted tests to obtain similar ES-like cells from neonatal mouse testis and these cells were similar to the ES/EG cells except that in their genomic imprinting pattern.

A contextual model for axonal sorting into glomeruli in the mouse olfactory system
Article Abstract:
Gene targeting in mice is used to demonstrate that the odorant receptor (OR) amino acid sequence imparts olfactory sensory neuron (OSN) axons with an identity that allows them to coalesce into glomeruli. It is observed that axons exhibit a spectrum of phenotypes such as partial rerouting and compartmentalized glomeruli.

MTA3 and the Mi-2/NuRD complex regulate cell fate during B lymphocyte differentiation
Article Abstract:
A cofactor, MTA3 a cell typespecific subunit of the corepressor complex Mi-2/NuRD for BCL-6-dependent cell fate determination is reported. Depletion of MTA3 by RNAi impairs BCL-6-dependent repression and alters the cell-specific transcriptional pattern characteristic of the B lymphocyte.
