Genetic control of self-incompatibility in Anagallis monelli (Primulaceae: Myrsinaceae)
Article Abstract:
Genetic control of self-incompatibility in Anagallis monelli (Primulaceae: Myrsinaceae), a Mediterranean short-lived perennial species, has been studied. Arrays of siblings, including families from reciprocal crosses, were cross-pollinated in full diallels, and compatibility groups were assessed from a census of fruit-set. The crossing relationships fit the model for gametophytic SI controlled by one polymorphic gene locus in families from parents with one or no S alleles in common.

Mapping quantitative trait loci for complex binary traits in outbred populations
Article Abstract:
A fixed-model approach to mapping quantitative trait loci for complex binary traits from multiple families of outbred populations has been developed in an approach based on the threshold model and describing liability by one linear model with a heterogeneous residual variance. The Fisher-scoring algorithm is used for estimating genetic parameters.

Genetic control of the rate of wound healing in mice
Article Abstract:
Wound healing has been found, in studies on mice, to be a polygenically determined quantitative trait with an average estimated heritability of 86%. This information will be useful for those planning advancing study of molecular mechanisms underlying the rate of wound healing in mammals
