Genetic control of the rate of transmission of rye B chromosomes
Article Abstract:
Genetic control of the transmission rate of rye B chromosomes is discussed. Results of crosses between plants from selected lines for high and low B chromosome transmission rate to find the genes controlling the rate indicate they are on the Bs and suggest that the B chromosome poplymorphism is controlled mainly by the Bs.

One gene determines maize B chromosome accumulation by preferential fertilization; another gene(s) determines their meiotic loss
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on B chromosomes. The study of the male B-transmission in the F2 generation has been carried out, and the results demonstrate that the genotypes of high and low male B-transmission rate lines differ in a single major gene.
