Genetic differentiation of oak populations within Quercus robur/Quercus petraea complex in Central and Eastern Europe
Article Abstract:
Genetic differentiation of oak populations in the Quercus robur/Quercus petraea complex has been studied in Central and Eastern Europe. The study was intended to fill the information gap that occurs because most of the published studies report on western Europe. Samples from eastern Europe come less often, especially those from the most eastern part of the distribution, in Russia.

Tychoparthenogenesis and mixed mating in natural populations of the mayfly Stenonema femoratum
Article Abstract:
Stenonema femoratum, the mayfly, has been studied in natural populations for information on tychoparthenogenesis and mixed mating. It appears that substantial amounts of parthenogenetic reproduction are taking place in the natural populations. Also it seems some females have mixed broods of parthenogenetically and sexually produced offspring.
