Genetic diversity of old French six-rowed winter barley varieties assessed with molecular, biochemical and morphological markers and its relation to BaMMV resistance
Article Abstract:
Analyses of genetic diversity in French winter barley varieties showed that they are distinguishable by DNA analyses and can be classified into two main groups based on the resistance or susceptibility to barley mosaic virus. The relationship, in terms of genetic diversity between varieties, is discussed.

Effective size in simple metapopulation models
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that the metapopulation structure for two sets of demographic parameter estimates seems to undergo a moderate reduction of effective size in relation to total adult population size. Several different methods for deriving the effective size in simple models are discussed.
