Glutamate synthase of Corynebacterium glutamicum is not essential for glutamate synthesis and is regulated by the nitrogen status
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the Corynebacterium glutamicum genes that encode the large and small glutamate synthase subunit. The genetic organization of these genes, their transcriptional regulation and the role of the gene inactivation in the glutamine synthase activity and growth with different nitrogen sources have been investigated and discussed.

Altered expression of two light-dependent genes in a macrocystin-lacking mutant of Microcystis aeruginosa PCC 7806
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the microcystin. The molecular approach developed for the microcystin function elucidation is described, and the results indicate that the protein can be strongly expressed in the wild-type cells but cannot be detected in the protein preparations from the mutant cells.
