Green fluorescent fusion proteins: powerful tools for monitoring protein expression in live zebrafish embryos
Article Abstract:
The green fluorescent fusion proteins in zebrafish are efficient modes of guiding the formation of heterologous proteins. A glutathione S-transferase/ green fluorescent fusion protein system is constructed to detect the utility of the fluorescent protein as a live staining method in zebrafish. Green fluorescence is observed for about 4 days in the zebrafish embryos.

Immunolocalization of the heterotrimeric kinesin-related protein KRP (sub 85/95) in the mitotic apparatus of sea urchin embryos
Article Abstract:
The kinesin-like protein, heterotrimeric kinesin-related protein KRP (sub 85/95), in the sea urchin embryo is associated with the membranous elements in the mitotic apparatus of the dividing embryos. During embryonic cell division, both KRP (sub 85/95) and kinesin act as vesicle motors that transport various classes of membrane on microtubule tracks.

Efficient hormone-inducible protein function in Xenopus laevis
Article Abstract:
The regulation of the gene function in embryos is done by the steroid hormone fusion genes as observed in Xenopus development. When RNA is microinjected for the myogenic gene MyoD bound to the ligand-binding domain of either the estrogen or glucocorticoid receptor, hormone-dependent activation of MyoD function occurs.
