Impact of agricultural practices on the Zea mays L. endophytic community
Article Abstract:
The influence of long-term applications of herbicides and different fertilizer types on the endophytic community of maize plants grown in different field experiments is assessed. Results indicate that the effect of agrochemicals is not limited to the bulk microbial community but also includes the root endophytic community.

A novel reductive dehalogenase, identified in a contaminated groundwater enrichment culture and in Desulfitobacterium dichloroeliminans strain DCA1, is linked to dehalogenation of 1,2-dichloroethane
Article Abstract:
The studies related to a mixed culture dechlorinating 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) to ethene which was enriched from groundwater and subjected to long-term contamination is presented.
