Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on malaria vector Anopheles gambiae. The authors have investigated the inheritance, expression and linkage relationship of A. genetic gambiae genetic traits, and they report the existence of Red stripe and frizzled morphological characteristics and the linkage relationship between frizzled to X chromosome markers.

MC1R studies in dogs with melanistic mask or brindle patterns

Research has been conducted on black mask in dogs which exhibits a melanistic muzzle extending onto the ears. The authors report that black mask is caused by a specific MC1R allele.
