In vivo gene therapy in young and adult RPE65-/- dogs produces long term visual improvement
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on RPE65 gene expressed in the retinal pigment epithelium. The authors report that the defects in this gene result in photoreceptor cell degradation and blindness, and that the experiments have been carried out in the effort to investigate whether gene replacement therapy can restore retinal function in RPE65-/- dogs.

Isolation and characterization of the canine serotonin receptor 1A gene (htr1A)
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on canine serotonin receptor 1A involved in behavioral disorders in dogs. The authors have isolated canine artificial chromosome clone which contains serotonin receptor 1A gene htr1A in order to determine the complete canine coding sequence of the htr1A gene, and have described the results.
