Intraspecific variation, sex-biased dispersal and phylogeography of the eastern grey kangaroo (Macropus giganteus)
Article Abstract:
The population structuring and dispersal in Marcropus giganteus from Australia are studies by the analysis of mitochondrial DNA and microsatellites. Results show that both genic and genotypic analyses indicate weak genetic structure with dispersal stretching up to 230 kilometers. The migration is mostly male-based with no significant isolation between the sexes.

Mitochondrial phylogeography and demographic history of the Vicuna: Implications for conservation
Article Abstract:
A geographically exhaustive evaluation of the mitochondrial DNA from the control region (CR) for 261 individuals from 29 populations across Peru, Chile and Argentina to investigate the evolution, demographic history, genetic variation and population structure of the vicuna across its current series is described.

Application of SNPs for assessing biodiversity and phylogeny among yeast strains
Article Abstract:
The efficacy of single-nucleotide polymorphism makers for the assessment of the phylogeny and biodiversity of Saccharomyces strains is examined. A smaller data set, comprising only the nine most polymorphic loci, was sufficient to obtain most features of the results.
