Inheritance of brown stem rot resistance in soybean cultivar BSR 101
Article Abstract:
Experimental studies on the resistance of soybean cultivar BSR101 to Phialophora gregata-induced brown stem rot indicates the presence of at least two resistance genes, the dominant one being the Rbs3 gene. The Rbs3 gene is allelic to the resistance gene in PI437970 cultivar. The gene inducing additional resistance may be related to the Rbs3 gene or could be the Rbs1 gene.

Genetic analysis of a short-petiolule-type soybean, LN89-3502TP
Article Abstract:
Research into the inheritance of the short-petiolule trait of LN89-3502TP, derived from a soybean plant with shorter petiolules than normal and with upward curling leaflet margins, indicates incomplete dominance for the gene controlling short petiolule. All F1 plants showed dense pubescence, indicating dominance for pubescence type. Trichrome counts of LN89-3502TP were not substantially different from counts of an isoline with the Pd1 gene for dense pubescence.
