Mating system of wild Phaseolus lunatus L. and its relationship to population size
Article Abstract:
The levels of outcrossing and parental inbreeding coefficient in wild Phaseolus lunatus L. (Lima bean) populations are estimated and the relationship between outcrossing rate and population size is examined. The single-locus outcrossing rate was found to range from 0.024 to 0.246 and the inbreeding coefficients were found to be positive and greater than zero whereas no significant correlation was observed between outcrossing rate and population size.

Mating system variation in the hermaphroditic brooding coral, Seritopora hystrix
Article Abstract:
Several studies are conducted to explain the variations observed in the mating system of Seritopora hystrix, the hermaphroditic brooding coral. The coral is found to exhibit several variations in outcrossing and selfing, in addition to the presence of significant levels of inbreeding.

Field and experimental evidence of preferential selfing in the freshwater mollusc Lymnaea truncatula (Gastropoda, Pulmonata)
Article Abstract:
The three approaches used to study the mating system of Lymnaea truncatula, the intermediate host of the liver fluke is discussed. The progeny-array analysis performed after a high-density culturing of the snails show that substantial outcrossing may occur.
