Methylation-induced repression: belts, braces and chromatin
Article Abstract:
Methylation-induced repression is discussed in this review article in which assessment of recent progress in understanding how some newly identified proteins bring on transcriptional repression is presented. Topics include routes to repression, methyl-CpG-binding proteins, chromatin remodeling, histone deacetylase, and limits of histone deacetylation.
