Nectomys squamipes microsatellites and homologous loci in sigmodontine rodents

Article Abstract:

The authors describe the isolation and characterization of Nectomys squamipes monomorphic and polymorphic microsatellites from different Brazilian localities. The hypothesis that monomorphic loci in the focal species are consistently monomorphic across this taxonomic range has been tested, and the results are presented.

The authors discuss TetraploidMap which runs from Microsoft Windows with a text-based output and input. They report that this map enables the users to assemble the linkage map from the dominant marker loci scored for parents and progeny of a cross in autotetraploid species.
